Just saw the above listed as the current science headlines from Reuters… for some reason they just struck me as entirely WEIRD.
I mean, I’m have a science degree myself (biology) – but sometimes I worry about some of the things we’re doing with science nowadays. I’m all for new technologies and developments in science (for example, I don’t just automatically consider cloning an outright “bad thing”), I just wonder how much pause is given to thinking over the possible effects of certain scientific advances (and even then, there are things you won’t think of ahead of time…). That’s all.
