SITES :: XHTML & CSS Site Design
Examples of well organized, usable, validated and optimized site design and architecture design conforming to web standards.
Site design with use of XHTML and CSS web standards provides many benefits. Clean and clearly organized code and content can be separated from the visual layout and design, which improves the ability to manage a site and lowers time needed for maintenance.
Other clear benefits of this approach include better search engine position, bandwidth savings (due to smaller, optimized pages), improved accessibility for impaired or disabled site visitors and sites that work best with all web browsers and alternative devices (phones, PDAs, etc.). Usability (clear organization and navigation, for example) and site consistency within all major web browsers are always examined when planning the architecture of a site.
The screen shots show some examples of sites or pages that I have designed with these considerations in mind.
